Cycling
Lochaber is the outdoor capital of the UK and as you would expect, there is plenty to do. Cycling is now one of the biggest sports in the UK and in this area you will find some of the finest cycling around. Whether you are cycling the Caledonian Canal or along the main routes, with stunning views around every corner, amazing wildlife and miles and miles of quiet roads, it’s no wonder that Lochaber gets thousands of avid cyclists every year and also hosts the Etape Loch Ness race.
At Tirindrish House we are ideally located right in the heart of the area to be used as a base for a huge amount of cycling. With the train station in the village, this also means that with planning, trips out to Mallaig or the Cairngorms can be a day trip with a relaxed train journey home. At the house we have space for you to safely store your bicycle and gear, a drying room for those wet days and mountains of information, guides and maps for you to plan your routes in comfort.
