Eating out

 There are a number of great places to eat in the area.  Between May – September booking in advance is advised, especially for larger groups.

 Old Station Restaurant and Bar, Spean Bridge (0.5 miles)

Situated in a converted Victorian railway station on the world-famous West Highland Line, hosts John and Alison offer a warm welcome, great food, a selection of ales, whiskies and wines and good value for money.

Russell’s Restaurant, Spean Bridge (0.4 miles)

Awarded 2 AA rosettes for 7 consecutive years Russell’s restaurant offers a range of Scottish fine dining menu choices using quality locally sourced produce. Very highly respected and the service is exceptional.

Set on the outskirts of Spean Bridge, close to the Commando Memorial, the Old Pines is open for lunches and dinner offering a selection of local dishes and a good vegetarian menu.

Corrour Station House Restaurant (access from Spean Bridge by train only)

In a remote, stunning and unique location, Corrour is only accessible by train (30 minutes direct from Spean Bridge) or a twenty mile walk! The train journey it itself is probably amongst the best you will ever go on and to top it off you are greeted at the restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and good homemade food.

The Bridge Café Spean Bridge (0.6 miles)

Simple quality food, well presented and priced. Owned by local legend Mary, the café has a wonderful wood burning stove to sit next to and while away the hours if the weather isn’t playing ball. Some great photos from a local photographer are available to purchase.

Whispering Pines Restaurant (7.5 miles)

A wide variety of seafood, highland and Asian cuisine. Good service and an amazing view over Loch Lochy is enjoyed here. The cosy bar area offers a wide selection of beers, whiskies and spirits and a good wine list.

Corriegour Lodge Hotel (12.5 miles)

With “Better food than the top London Hotels and a view to die for”Corriegour Lodge Restaurant is Michelin Recommended and a Scottish Tourist Board  Eat Scotland award Silver winner serving seriously good food, including King Scallops,homemade breads and mouth-watering Desserts.

Inverlochy Castle Hotel (8 miles)

World class hotel with a small and exclusive restaurant. You would need to book many months in advance to gain a table in the busier months of the year.

Ben Nevis Inn, Achintee (10 miles)

A lovely spot at the start of the trail to Ben Nevis and a firm favourite with walkers finishing their accent of the mountain who fancy a well-cooked meal or a pint. The menu is good and the prices are fair. Serves lunch & dinner and has music on a Tuesday evening after 9pm.

Glen Spean Lodge, Roybridge (3 miles)

An old hunting lodge set up on the hillside, the lodge offers a wide choice of menu options for all tastes.  Good hearty meals and great service.
